Privacy Policy

Overview

Stuck, operated by AM Media & Design LLC (DBA AM Media & Design) (“we”, “our”, “us”), is committed to protecting your privacy. We collect only what is necessary to provide the service. This policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, how we use it, and how you can control it.

By using the App or Website, you consent to the collection and use of information as described in this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

Data We Collect

When you create an account, we collect your email address (for account recovery and verification), a username (to identify you within the App), and a password (stored as a one-way bcrypt hash, never in plaintext).

When you use the App, we store your liked and saved quotes so they persist across sessions, any quote submissions you make (text, author, and category), quote reports when you flag something as inappropriate, and your push notification token if you opt in to notifications.

Quote submissions may be reviewed by us and, if approved, displayed publicly in the App or Website. Do not submit personal information in quote text, author fields, or reports unless you want that information to be reviewed or displayed as part of the service.

Data We Do Not Collect

We do not collect your location, contacts, phone number, or advertising identifiers. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with any third party for any reason.

We do not use your quote submissions, saved quotes, likes, or account data to train third-party artificial intelligence models.

Analytics

We collect basic usage events (such as app opens, tab views, and feature interactions) to understand how the App is used and improve it. These events are stored on our own servers. We do not use any third-party analytics, tracking, or advertising services. Events are linked to your user ID if you are logged in, or are fully anonymous otherwise. Analytics data is automatically deleted after 90 days.

Push Notifications

If you enable push notifications, we store your device push token to deliver them through Apple Push Notification service (APNs). You can disable notifications at any time in your device settings. Push tokens are deleted when you unregister or delete your account.

Network Requests & IP Addresses

The App communicates with our API server over HTTPS. Requests include standard HTTP headers such as your IP address and user agent. IP addresses are used only for rate limiting and abuse prevention and are not permanently stored or logged.

Data Retention & Deletion

You can delete your account at any time from within the App. When you do, your account is immediately deactivated and you are logged out. Push notification tokens are deleted right away. After 30 days, your email and username are permanently scrubbed from our database. Your likes, saves, and submissions remain but are no longer linked to any identifiable information.

If you sign up again within 30 days using the same email, your account will be reactivated. Error logs are retained for 30 days and analytics data for 90 days, after which they are automatically deleted.

Data Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your data. Passwords are hashed using bcrypt. All traffic between the App and our servers is encrypted via HTTPS. Authentication uses signed tokens with automatic expiration. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Third-Party Services

We do not integrate any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services. The only external service we use is Apple Push Notification service (APNs) to deliver push notifications. Apple's own privacy policy governs their handling of that data.

Children's Privacy

The App is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it promptly.

Your Rights

You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data at any time. You can update your username from within the App, and delete your account entirely. If you need assistance or want to request a copy of your data, contact us at the email below.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes take effect immediately upon posting to this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
